Dia de Muertos 2024, a wonderful photographic journey into Mexican culture.

Día de Muertos in Mexico is a unique celebration, honoring the memory of the deceased with joy, music and ancient rituals. The holiday takes place between November 1 and 2 and sees families come together to build altars, called ofrendas, decorated with photos, candles, food and cempasúchil (marigold) flowers. The streets and cemeteries fill with colors and symbols such as sugar skulls and pan de muerto, while participants paint their faces with calaveras (skulls) and remember those who are no longer with us with love. It is a moment of connection between the past and the present, where death is experienced as a natural part of life.
